Fully Digital Radiographs

A form of X-ray imaging services, where digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional film. Advantages include time efficiency by eliminating the need for chemical processing; less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography, immediate image preview and availability, and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images.

IV Fluid Therapy & ICU Hospitalization

Intravenous fluid therapy is used for numerous reasons. It helps increase detoxification, which helps speed up the healing process, boosting the immune system & protecting against infections. It helps improve circulation of blood throughout the body, for example in cases of shock. IV fluids also help carry medications like antibiotics and pain medications. Fluids given by this route travel fast throughout the body, helping bring relief. Intravenous fluid therapy also helps reduce high blood pressure and help carry nutrition to the patient. If your pet needs to be hospitalized, continuous monitoring will be provided during the stay. Our staff is well-trained, dedicated, attentive and caring.

Canine Transfusion Therapy

Blood product administration, whether whole blood or plasma, can be life-saving in some situations, such as massive blood loss due to trauma, severe anemia or conditions caused by blood diseases. Our blood products are from a reputable blood bank that tests for infectious diseases and other illnesses, ensuring a safe product for our patients.

Emergency Surgery

We are equipped to handle various, emergent surgical procedures. We offer two sterile operating suites equipped with inhalation anesthetic machines and monitoring equipment.

Injectable & Gas Anesthesia

Generally, IV sedation is used for shorter treatments. It is administered via direct injection into the bloodstream, which means the effects are immediate and recovery is quick. Gas anesthetics allow precise control of the depth and duration of anesthesia in patients and can be used in almost any species. A variety of inhalant anesthetics is available which produces rapid induction and recovery.

Monitoring via ECG & Pulse Ox

Our ECG is used to monitor our sedated patients for arrhythmias during surgical procedures. It is also utilized on patients with heart disease and certain critical, hospitalized patients. Pulse oximetry is used to monitor anesthetized patients to ensure proper oxygen saturation, and heart rate maintains during short procedures. In addition to mechanical monitoring, our technicians and assistants provide manual monitoring as well. Ensuring your pet maintains an acceptable level of anesthesia, safely.

NIBP via Doppler Blood Pressure

The non-invasive blood pressure monitors are simpler and quicker than invasive measurements, have virtually no complications, and are less unpleasant, painful & stressful for the patient.

On-Site Laboratory

Complete Blood Count – CBC gives important information about the kinds and numbers of cells in the blood, especially red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. A CBC helps diagnose conditions, such as anemia, infection, and many other disorders.

Complete Chemistry – This is a blood test that measures the levels of several substances in the blood such as kidney and liver values or to check for dehydration. A complete chemistry helps paint a picture of a patient’s overall health.

iStat – An iStat is a short panel chemistry, this can be performed if the doctor may only need to look at certain values, for example, dehydration or as a value recheck during a patient’s hospitalization.

Blood Coagulation Panel (APTT & PT) – Coagulation tests measure the blood’s ability to clot, and the amount of time it takes to do so. Conditions that cause coagulation problems include liver disease, thrombophilia (excessive clotting), and hemophilia (inability to clot normally); also, some rodenticide toxicities.

Pharmacy

Having a pharmacy on-site allows us to save the client one more step, providing optimal continued care. Instead of having to go to a pharmacy, you can leave with medication in-hand. Having an on-site pharmacy also helps minimize mistakes. We are familiar with the medications we are prescribing, benefits and risks, dosage, and what administration method works best. Hospitalized patients, in addition to out-patient clients, benefit from our pharmacy.
